About the Memoir:
As a young boy singing in his Cathedral Church choir in Springfield, Massachusetts, Frank Cerveny heard the voice of God speaking to him, “You will be my bishop.”
Nearly 70 years later he heard that same voice telling him, “You must tell your story.”
In his memoirs, Bishop Cerveny recalls the challenges of growing up with an invalid mother, and of experiencing the love and affirmation of God through the many people he encountered in his journey. He describes the twists and turns that led to his ordination as priest and ultimately to his election and consecration as bishop. In his role as chief pastor to thousands, his vision was clear and his path was deliberate-to equip and empower the people of God to become the people of God.
