What are your store hours?

Monday-Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Friday: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Saturday: Closed

Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Do you ever need new volunteers?

We always welcome new volunteers. Our volunteers assist with helping customers, cashiering, shipping and receiving, merchandising, and so much more. All volunteers work out of our brick-and-mortar store located in Jacksonville, Florida. If you are interested in volunteering, please email us at cathedralbookstore@jaxcathedral.org

Is there parking at St. John’s Cathedral Bookstore & Gift Shop?

Customers may park for free in the parking lot next door to the bookstore or by using street parking in front of the store.

 What is your shipping process?

All shipping is done during regular weekday store hours (M-TH: 10-4, F: 10-3).

No shipping on weekends or federal holidays. We ship either U.S.P.S. Priority or First Class. If your address requires special instructions, please indicate instructions in "Order Notes".

Rates are calculated based on the shipment total. Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next half pound.

The estimated delivery dates on your order are based on shipping times only. Imprinting and special orders will delay the shipping time.

When shipping a gift without a receipt, please indicate in the "Order Notes". Please enter your email address to receive tracking numbers, when applicable, and shipping notices.

We only ship to the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

If an item shows as out of stock, contact us via email to receive an estimated date for availability.

What is your return process?

Please contact us by email to arrange returns. Return shipping must be paid by the customer, except in cases of defective products. Not all items are eligible for return. Please refer to our return policy. 

Do you offer special sales?

We have special sales and promotions throughout the year. The best way to learn about these and stay up to date with new products is to join our email list or follow us on social media!

Website/Online Ordering Questions

What are your general terms and conditions?

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at cathedralbookstore@jaxcathedral.org. If your return is accepted, we will provide instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / Non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods such as food, custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products).  Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.  If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at cathedralbookstore@jaxcathedral.org.

Are all the products you have available on your website?

Unfortunately, not currently. As a small faith-based business, we are mindful of our costs. Some of the beautiful gifts and other items we carry would require special shipping and the cost of shipping sometimes prohibits us from making an item available on our website. For the best selection of our merchandise, please visit our brick-and-mortar store.

Will you order special order items?

We may be able to special order some items. Please visit the store or call 904-356-5507, Ext. 152 to request a special order. Please have as much information about the item as possible. We will research if we are able to order the item and will let you know either way.  If the item can be ordered, we require pre-payment, and the order is Final Sale.

Do you offer imprinting or engraving?

We offer local imprinting on Bibles and Prayer Books purchased at St. John’s Cathedral Bookstore & Gift Shop. For an additional fee, we will imprint other Bibles and Prayer Books purchased elsewhere.  Please contact the store by email at cathedralbookstore@jaxcathedral.org. Our imprinting is excellent and is done locally by hand. Please note, however, that we cannot accept responsibility for imprinting imperfections due to imprinting on irreplaceable heirloom Bibles or Prayer Books.

Do you ever have events with authors?

Yes! Throughout the year we host special events, including our Cerveny Speakers Series, which brings great preachers, writers and speakers to the Cathedral each year. Our BackStory Author Talk series is an informative and entertaining way to learn about books and engage with authors on Zoom.
