JOHN S. BUNKER

A professional artist over the last 55 years, John Bunker is a graduate of Florida State University and holds an advanced degree from Vanderbilt University, Peabody College. Bunker has exhibited his paintings widely including one person exhibitions at Jacksonville Art Museum, Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens, the Museum of Science and History, Thrasher Horne Center, The Haskell Gallery, Georgia Southern College, The University of North Florida, Ormond Museum, Winwrights, HWGallery, Gallery Contemporanea, Fairfax, and at numerous other venues. His works are included in diverse public, private, and corporate collections in the United States and abroad.

Bunker also sustained an extensive career with art museums culminating in the directorship of the Jacksonville Art Museum and Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens. He was a fellow at the Smithsonian Museum's Museum Management Institute and the Getty Museum Management Institute at UC Berkeley.

A native Floridan, John Bunker has traveled extensively in North America, Europe, South America, Asia, and Africa in pursuit of his art.
