Jesse Wright: "Ferns in All Their Glory"
Photograph, Framed, 19 x 23
Jesse (Jay) Wright has been an artist for over 60 years. He spent a large part of his life as an art museum director, art consultant and academic administrator. After being exposed to so many different forms of art throughout his career, he decided to add photography to his toolbox. He practiced photography during his time living in Jacksonville's historic Springfield Neighborhood. Another major subject of his photography was in northern Michigan.
Twenty years ago Jay was one of the founding members of the Cathedral Art Guild, which features local artists and artists from St. John's Cathedral's congregation. During this time the Cathedral has provided over 100 art exhibitions. The Cathedral now enjoys state-of-art exhibition lighting thanks to donations and proceeds from art exhibitions.
